SERVA has further developed horizontal electrophoresis into High Performance Electrophoresis (HPE). The main component is the flatbed electrophoresis chamber HPE BlueHorizon as well as foil-supported ready-to-use gels available for different applications such as isoelectric focusing, SDS and native PAGE, 2D electrophoresis and analysis of glycans.
For classical vertical protein separation, SERVA offers ready-to-use gels and instruments for SDS PAGE and Western blotting in 10 cm x 10 cm format with “Premium Resolution in Minigel Electrophoresis (PRiME)”-system.
In addition other main business areas are the distribution of life science reagents as well as fine and biochemicals for laboratory use, as catalogue and bulk goods.

HPE BlueHorizon Flatbed System
High efficiant cooling plate — Its sophisticated materials and our know-how allows an uniform & continuous heat dissipation.
Platinum electrodes — Made of platinum coated titanium rods – indestructible and always lying flat.
Stackable — Up to four units can be stacked and connected to one chiller and one power supply.
BlueVertical PRiME Electrophoressis Chamber
BlueBlot Semi-Dry Blotter
Anode is made from platinum-covered steel net, cathode is made from a stainless steel plate. The springmounted anode allows blotting of thicker gels and gel stacks. The BlueBlot SemiDry blotter is available in three sizes to meet a wide range of requirements: 11 cm x 11 cm, 17 cm x 17 cm and 24 cm x 26 cm.
